This could also apply to companies that incinerate waste, biomass industries, refinieries, the glass industry, cement industry, ore industry, steel plants, and the fertilizer industry.

Air pollution equipment is going to have to keep up with the demand for new and better equipment to replace old equipment, meet new regulations, deal with preventative maintenance issues, deal with the issue of emergency repairs, and be serviced and maintained to keep it in good working order. The original air pollution control equipment that came out years ago will not meet the new stricter environmental regulations that are being passed today so the equipment will have to be either rebuilt or replaced with new air pollution control equipment. It is estimated that 20% of current air pollution control equipment will need upgrading or replacement.
